Carmen, The Apprentice and Super Leaders
Well it has been quite sometime since I sent out a blog, some of you may or may not be aware that I am one of the contestants on the Australian version of The Apprentice. Which took me off-site for around 2 months. An incredible journey of self-discovery to say the least! and having Mark Bouris as (The Don) was such an honor, this guy truly is one of Australia’s business success stories and in my opinion a fabulous role model for up and coming leaders.
One thing we can be sure of after the first episode is that I make the worst ever project manager! and the secret is out that I know nothing about gardening…so for those of you out there who continue to ask for quotes on gardening contracts…ahh who am I kidding…they are hilarious, keep them coming!
I was so impressed with some of the up and coming talent that I had the pleasure of meeting during the show, some really passionate Gen Y individuals that really impressed me, albeit at different levels. So I have decided that I will start to profile a couple of them via Super Leaders (through our newsletter, so make sure you have subscribed to it) to give you a further insight into their personalities, characteristics and business nous…
One of my favorite challenges aired on Monday night, the breakfast cereal challenge was just so much fun to do, who knew I could write lyrics for a jingle and come up with a melody!? this is what it was all about, putting you in situations outside of your comfort zone, testing your physical, emotional and psychological attributes..or should I say limits.
Make sure you tune in next Monday on Channel 9, at 9.30pm for the third episode..!
Super Carmen
